New metro stations for Moscow

New metro stations are to open in eastern, south-eastern and southern districts of the capital, where both under- and over-ground transport routes are currently seriously overloaded, Komsomolskaya Pravda reported on Tuesday.

The extension of the light-green line in the south will link Marino and the green line’s Krasnogvardeyskaya in December. Three new stations are to be opened on this stretch.

A completely new line will begin from the yellow line’s Aviamotornaya and stretch to Lyuberetskiye Polya, which is yet to be built in the Kozhukhovo district by 2015.

And residents of Zhulebino, a Moscow-city district located outside of Moscow Ring Road, will be able to take a ride even earlier, as two new stations are to open in 2013.
